Charleston International Film Festival and College of Charleston to Sculpt Branded Award
Now all we need is for you to fill in the blank!
The Charleston International Film Festival (CIFF) and Department of Studio Art at the College of Charleston have teamed up to create a new branded award to be given out during the festival to recognize those who exhibit the very best in the art of film making and writing. There are the Oscars, and the Golden Globes, but we’re looking for a name that really screams out CHARLESTON for this award so winners can take a piece of our incredible city home and remember their experience here every time they look at it. Your name submission will have a direct impact on the creative process in designing and sculpting the prototype award.
CIFF Board Member, Captain Adam Paul says, “There is a cool synergy between CIFF and CofC working to develop this new award, and I’m excited to see what comes out of it. Getting Charlestonians to weigh-in on the name is incredible; after all, it’s their festival!”
Email all name suggestions in a single email to NameTheAward@CharlestonIFF.org. The winner will receive two all access festival badges for the 2013 Film Festival, April 24-28, at Sottile Theatre and other magnificent venues in downtown Charleston ($298 value). Contest ends November 12th, 2012 at 5 PM (EST). The winner will be notified via email and announced via press release and our social media pages. Good luck to all!
